About

Originally from North Georgia I Grew up out in the country of Madison County and was given my first bow by my Uncle Jack at age 6. I have competed both as a compound and recurve archer, and am avid bowhunter as well. I currently compete in national ASA tournaments in the traditional class shooting a Bear Archery one piece wooden longbow. While I do love to compete, and will continue to throughout my life, I have turned my focus to teaching the next generation a love for the sport and hunting discipline. I have spent the last 10 years taking my two sons and any of their friends to archery tournaments all over the state, offering them a chance to find the passion for our sport we have. As a homestead family farm we have had the pleasure of connected with Chris Penny and family from the former Penny Family Farms while working at local farmers markets. During our regular Saturday talks we became friends and invited them to join in on an archery outing with our family. After day one they were hooked on archery! He has since founded Point-On Archery with the help of the Penny's who host the club at they farm and are part of the coaching staff. I am a US Archery level 3 NTS Coach and Advanced instructor with S3DA. I am also the Regional Coordinator for S3DA for the Midlands of SC. I have worked in numerous fields over the course of my life, ranging from a youth pastor to a demolition specialist and farmer and waiter to name a few. This broad work scope has provided many unique angles to view the world from, but through it all I have maintained a love for teaching and a passion to helping others! Building on this I am excited to see the personal growth and development in our students!
