Coach Jonas Sewell is a native of North Georgia, raised out in country and was given his first bow by his Uncle Jack at age 6. He has had bows in his hands ever since.
As both a competitive compound and recurve shooter, he is also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He currently competes in national ASA tournaments in the traditional class, shooting a Bear Archery one piece wooden longbow. While he loves to compete and will continue to throughout his life, he has turned his main focus to teaching the next generation his love for the sport and hunting discipline.
He has spent the last 12 years taking his two sons (both founding members of Point-On Archery) and any of their friends who would come along to archery tournaments all over the state, and traveling as far as CA and Canada for Tournaments.
