Fueling Up, and Setting a Positive Pace!

Good Morning Point-On!

This Morning I would like to take a minute and talk about what you are doing during this time of isolation. It is really easy to settle into a lazy routine while stuck at home somewhat alone without classmates or friends to spend time with or practices to go to. While we are told to stay home and to only travel for essential work and groceries. You are free to go for a walk or run around your neighborhood and do exercises in your yard or sit outside and (Gasp) Read a book. At our house, the preferred reading spot is a hammock.

Take some time to shoot your bow or with your string bow shoot an imaginary tournament.

Right now is a great time to take a look at what you are fueling up your body with as well. Remember healthy snacks like fruit and nuts are a better alternative to chips and junk food. Water is also vital to good health and a clear mind. You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water every day. So say you weigh 100 lbs your should be drinking 50 ounces of water a day as a minimum; if you are active even more.

Another great activity to do during this "Free Time" is to plant something. A veggie patch is the most productive thing to grow since you can eat the results, but planting a flower bed is also a nice thing to do. It will take upkeep on your part with watering and weeding on a daily or at least every other day schedule that will keep you outside doing something positive until we can get back together.

Let us know what you are doing during the Down Time. Share pictures of your activities. We will try and have a Zoom get together sometime within the next week. If you are interested in joining, let us know.

Til Then,

Coach Jonas
