Hey Team! I hope that everyone is holding on ok. I know that this social isolation thing is really tough when all you want to do is get together with your friends and shoot some arrows right! I have even heard rumblings of adults laid off wanting to go back to work and kids actually missing being able to go to school. Unreal I know. Hopefully, we can get back to life as we knew it sometime in the near future. As for now, let us talk about what we can do to practice on our own to keep ourselves sharp. If you are like most of us then you have a lot of free time on your hands. I recommend spending some of that time with your bow in your hands. It gets you outside and moving; that alone should help to fight off the sit at home blues.
Our first exercise drill is an aim small drill. Take your target out to 20 yards and set up a cardboard box in front of it so that the box is only half as tall as your target. (An old cereal box would work great.) Then find something small... gummy bears, a lifesaver, peppermint, or something along those lines. even a ping pong ball or a tennis ball to start with. Balance the small object of your choice on top of the box. your goal is to hit the small object without hitting the box. Make sure whatever you use is ok to destroy and is yours. Do not use your siblings' tennis balls or other small items... we don't need to start a war.
Post a picture of your successful shot in the comments below for bragging rights. I ordered a new memory card for my phone so I should be able to take videos and pictures again soon to post here as well.
Today begins week 2 of the Nock On School of Nock Practice. Video is linked below.
Keep shooting and having fun!
